About the Course

The course offers a transformative journey for aspiring and current leaders, focusing on the strategies and techniques necessary to lead diverse teams across cultural boundaries. Designed to equip participants with the skills and insights needed to navigate the complexities of cultural differences, this course is ideal for professionals, managers, leaders, and educators seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities in multicultural environments. 

Throughout the course, participants will engage with both theoretical foundations and practical applications of cultural intelligence. The course begins by introducing key concepts of cultural diversity and cross-cultural communication. As the course progresses, participants will develop a deep understanding of how to build trust, foster collaboration, and leverage the unique perspectives of diverse teams to drive innovation and creativity. Common challenges, such as miscommunication and misunderstandings, will also be addressed, providing participants with the tools to overcome these obstacles effectively. 

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will be able to apply cultural intelligence (CQ) and its components in leadership. Participants will be able to define cultural diversity and understand how to lead effectively across cultural boundaries. Participants will be able to foster trust, collaboration, and innovation within cross-cultural teams. Participants will develop strategies for overcoming challenges in cross-cultural communication and collaboration.

Format

  • Synchronous + Asynchronous Learning: 10 hours of study time in total, including tests and case studies.
  • Interactive Virtual Meetings: 4 virtual meetings of 1.5 hours each, featuring discussions and breakout sessions focused on applying cultural intelligence in team leadership.
  • Pre-recorded Video Content: 2 hours of high-quality video content
  • PDFs and Presentations: Supporting documents and slide decks for deeper understanding.
  • Tests and Self-assessments: Multiple-choice questions and self-assessments to measure understanding and learning progress.
