About the Course

The course offers a transformative journey for aspiring and current leaders, exploring the intersections of emotional intelligence and cultural intelligence. It is designed to equip participants with the skills and insights necessary to lead effectively in diverse global contexts. This course is ideal for professionals, managers, leaders, educators, and anyone seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities in multicultural environments. 

Throughout the course, students will engage with both theoretical foundations and practical applications of emotional and cultural intelligence. The course begins by introducing emotional intelligence, focusing on self-awareness, empathy, and leadership styles. As the course progresses, participants will develop a deep understanding of cultural intelligence, exploring how different cultural perspectives, values, and communication styles impact leadership. 

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will develop a strong foundation in emotional intelligence and its application in leadership. Participants will be able to define the principles of cultural intelligence and how to apply them in leading diverse teams. Participants will be able to effectively convey messages and use learnt strategies for conflict resolution and consensus-building in multicultural environments.

Format:

  • Synchronous + Asynchronous Learning: 10 hours of study time in total, including tests and case studies.
  • Interactive Virtual Meetings: 4 virtual meetings of 1.5 hours, featuring discussions and breakout sessions focused on practical applications of emotional and cultural intelligence in leadership.
  • Pre-recorded Video Content: 2 hours of high-quality video content
  • PDFs and Presentations: Supporting documents and slide decks for deeper understanding.
  • Tests and Self-assessments: Multiple-choice questions and self-assessments to gauge progress.

  • Virtual Class Meeting 2: Cultural Intelligence and Leadership
  • Virtual Class Meeting 3: Cross-Cultural Communication. How to convey a clear message in intercultural contexts
  • Virtual Class Meeting 4: Conflict Resolution and Consensus-Building. How to facilitate difficult conversations in intercultural contexts

Certificate

  • Participants will receive a double certificate from TXST CE and Amolingua upon completion. Credits or microlearning badges may be available depending on university policies.
