Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Requirements: Self-Paced Courses
A student must demonstrate college readiness to take most self-paced online courses at TXST.*
*The following courses do not have prerequisite TSI requirements: ART 2313 (and DAN, TH, MU), BIO 1320, HIM 2360, PHIL 1305, PHIL 1320, SPAN 1410, SPAN 1420, SPAN 2310, SPAN 2320.
For all other TXST self-paced online courses, a student must demonstrate college readiness by meeting one of the following requirements (by course):
MATH TSI Exemptions
One of the following is required to enroll in a self-paced online Math course:

English Langauge Arts and Reading (ELAR) TSI Exemptions
One of the following is required to enroll in a self-paced online course in English (ENG), History (HIST), Political Science (POSI), Psychology (PSY), or Sociology (SOCI):
