To understand Inbound Selling, we need to start with buyers and how their behaviors have changed over the years.

Imagine for a moment what it was like to buy a product before the Internet existed. In the past, buyers needed salespeople to make a buying decision. Salespeople controlled the relationship. They had answers to the key questions in the buyer’s mind. Things like:

  • What is included in your offer?
  • What does it cost?
  • How does it compare to other competitors?
  • Who else is using your offering?  And do they like it?

The Internet changed the buyer/seller relationship.  Now, the needed information that the buyers use to make a purchase decision is just a click away.  The power in the buying and selling process has shifted from the seller to the buyer.  The buyer process has transformed.
And that means to keep up with today’s empowered buyer, the sales process needs to transform too. Whether your sales process relies on inbound leads or targeted outreach, whether you’re a big company or small, whether your sale is complex or simple; inbound sales is relevant. That’s because inbound sales transform selling to match today’s empowered buyer -- so salespeople and businesses can sell the way people buy.

The two philosophies that drive inbound selling are:

  1. Inbound sales teams base their entire sales strategy on the buyer rather than the seller.
  2. Inbound salespeople personalize the entire sales experience to the buyer’s context.

This course is a blueprint to understanding how the world has changed, how it’s changed the buyer-seller relationship, and how to thrive as a salesperson or company in this new environment.

By the end of this course, sales professionals will be able to:

  1. Master this powerful inbound sales strategy to help you start, run, or grow your business.
  2. Increase your ability to connect better with today’s empowered buyers through inbound selling techniques.
  3. Thrive with the most effective selling strategy, personalizing the entire sales experience to your buyer’s profile.
